The Crowsnest Pass is a full scribe log home built with massive Western Red Cedar character flares. As Crowsnest Pass is one of the windiest places in North American, the Owner wanted to ensure we could build a log house that is as air tight as possible. We had been gasketing log homes for years, but on this home we developed some additional details to ensure this Owner was more than pleased. We completed this house to lock-up and the Owner finished with some hard work and local trades. Two years after we had set the logs we conducted a blower door test and received a 1.22 ACH @ 50Pa and an Energuide 82. To date this is the best result we are aware of on any log home built. We have incorporated these details on all log homes we build and are constantly improving on air sealing details. This Owner is still very pleased with the work we did and we congratulate him on finishing this home to such a high standard.
