Log Post and Beam, Nordegg, AB

This structure is being sent to the Edmonton Log & Cottage show in April, 2011.  Come visit us to have a tour! Following the show, we will ship this Log Post and Beam home to Nordegg, AB, where we will install the pre-fabricated wall panels. Built with Western Red Cedar logs, this home features 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The front elevation of home is stunning, with a mix of only windows and log beams.

Slave Lake, AB

This project is scheduled for construction for the spring of 2011.  Tyee Log and Timber will create complete architectural and Timber Frame shop drawings for this project.  Our handcrafted Douglas Fir timber frame will be enclosed with Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs).  This home will feature a timber roof system and vaulted ceilings.

Handcrafted Log Cabins - Whitehorse, YK

Although we did this setup in November, this job was a blast.  Our clients, Wayne and Lynette King, invited us to build two small scribe fit log cabins at their campground and RV park, Hi Country RV.  Each cabin is rated to EnerGuide 80 and has received Built Green Gold ratings.  As part of the energy efficiency of these log cabins, we added double gasketing at each round of logs, along with our standard insulation detail.  Tyee Log and Timber provided all the materials and labour to bring both of these cabins to the lockup stage (all frame walls, windows, doors and roof structure).  We are very thankful for the hot coffee, snacks and meals!  Thanks again to Wayne and Lynette, we look forward to seeing you in the summer!

Handcrafted Log Home - Seba Beach, AB

We completed the delivery and setup of the full scribe log home in August 2010.  This 2 storey walkout features large Cedar character logs with prominent flared ends.  The main entry features paired curved log tie beams, and the interior has many carved accents.  Tyee was responsible for full design and fabrication on this project.

Handcrafted Log Home - Sundridge, ON

Through careful coordination with our client in Ontario, Tyee designed this 2 storey handcrafted scribe fit log home.  This home will come complete with a timber roof system of 4x8 timber rafters (at 3' on center).  Our log building crew set this home up in October 2010, and would like to thank our client for their hospitality!
