HANDCRAFTED LOG HOMESOur handcrafted log homes feature large diameter logs where no two pieces are similar to create a square and true structure. In our fabrication yard each log is selected, handpeeled, scribed, slicked and chiseled to fit naturally into your home. We start every project using only the finest logs. We prefer to use Western Red Cedar & Douglas fir, but pine, spruce and larch are available. For most of our log homes, we incorporate log post and beam roof systems enabling open floor plans and vaulted spaces. We offer a number of log end styles and optional window details, depending on the owners preference. Over many years of building and living in log structures, we have learned and developed techniques to maintain your homes original look and simplify finishing. We incorporate the "overscribed" method of building in each of our homes, incorporate screw jacks to all vertical posts, slab flat any logs that tie into conventional framing and cut slots and keyways for interior walls and openings.
